Paul and Hannah | Sunset in Central Park

It’s 5 o’clock on a Wednesday night (and it’s already pitch black outside, cause ya know, the dreaded daylight savings) and I’m sitting here under my favorite cozy blanket still thinking about the sunset the night I chased Paul and Hannah around Central Park. The sun was setting and I kept telling them, “We gotta chase the light!”, so they chased the light, and I chased them with my camera.

Hannah and Paul were both goofy and giggly during our session, and I think their photos really show that.

While they are two stellar videographers, they’d never done a photo session together before, so I was excited to provide them with some moments from this season of their lives. Sometimes when people tell me they’ve never had a professional photoshoot before, I prepare myself to be throwing out a lot of pose ideas, but these two took every prompt I offered and ran with it. At the beginning of the session we saw a squirrel and I literally said, “Runnnnn, chase the squirrel!!”, and they grabbed hands and chased that poor squirrel. Their willingness to be playful and fun was truly the best.

Location: We walked down the West side of Central Park, through the Shakespeare Garden, and up to Belvedere Castle for these.

Book your own sunset chasing session with me! The fall leaves are here for the next week or two, so let’s take advantage of the photos!
