Remi Flower and Coffee Photo Sessions

One of the things that strikes me as a Photographer, is the effortless it takes to make a photo awesome in NYC. Back when I lived in small town Texas (the desert part of Texas), sometimes it felt a bit challenging to find a spot that worked well for photos.

In NYC, there’s a location waiting around every corner. And while I do believe that a great photographer can get creative with and make the most of any situation, lighting, setting, subject, I have to admire what I experience as a photographer in this city. There’s shadows and lighting I couldn’t even imagine. There’s buildings with character and streets with glittery taxi lights. There’s snug little cafes and corners that keep the cold away. I love it all.

One of my all time favorite snug corners is Remi Flower and Coffee on the East Side. It’s about a fifteen minute walk from Grand Central and it’s literally a breath of fresh air. To walk into a fresh flower and fresh coffee smell is divine. To be surrounded by so many festive plants and natural light is just the funnest. And because of Covid, they added the cutest Greenhouses outside their shop, and those make everything a million times more cozy and cute.

Priscilla and I ventured over there because it would bring me GREAT joy to add Remi and it’s surrounding area to my list of places I bring my clients to be photographed (I literally just submitted an AirBnb Experience to Airbnb that includes photos and drinks at Remi). I WANT my coffee and latte loving clients to enjoy the Beautifully poured Rose Latte. I WANT them to try the Berry Chai. And I want them to experience the coziness of an all star tightly squished New York Plant Cafe. And this, in my opinion, is one of the best.

It’s been wildly popular in the past, and I thought it might be overrated, but literally every time I’ve visited the drinks are amazing and pretty, the plants are cute, the pastries are awesome, and the baristas are kind.

That’s a winning kind of spot in this city in my opinion.
